Ambassador-designate of Thailand met with CEO Zoos Victoria and Director Melbourne Zoo for discussion on possible joint activities to celebrate the births of 3 baby Thai elephants at the Melbourne zoo

On 6 February 2023 during 15.00-16.30 hrs., Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador-designate of Thailand, met with Dr. Jenny Gray, CEO Zoos Victoria, and Sheri Horiszny, Director Melbourne Zoo. Both sides discussed on possible joint activities to celebrate the births of 3 baby Thai elephants at the Melbourne zoo, which coincided with the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and Australia. The three Thai baby elephants were given Thai names, namely, Aiyara, Roi-Yim and Kati. On this occasion, the Ambassador-designate also visited the Thai elephants, including the 3 baby elephants at the Zoo, and was pleased to learn that all are well looked after and in good health and spirit.
