Ambassador presented the Letter of Credence to His Majesty King Tupou VI of Tonga

On 16 April 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, presented to His Majesty King Tupou VI of Tonga, during the audience at the Royal Palace of Tonga in Nukuʻalofa, the Letter of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Tonga, with residence in Canberra.

 

On this occasion, His Majesty the King of Tonga exchanged views with the Ambassador on the bilateral relations and cooperation between Thailand and Tonga.

 

Thailand and Tonga established diplomatic relations in 1994. This year, therefore, marks the 30th anniversary of their cordial diplomatic ties. Both sides work together on various dimensions, including on development cooperation in such areas as agriculture and human resource development. This includes Thailand’s support for the Project on the Development of Demonstration Farm based on the Application of the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, bestowed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, with a view to promoting food security and sustainable agricultural in Tonga.
