Ambassador attended Thai Festival 2024 “Best of the 4 Regions” in South Australia

On 23 March 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, attended Thai Festival 2024 “Best of the 4 Regions” at Kings Reserve, Torrensville, organised by the Thai-Australian Association of South Australia (TAASA) and Thai volunteers in South Australia. The festival showcased the uniqueness of the Thai culture in North, Northeast, Central and Southern regions, including Thai traditional dances, Thai boxing, Thai massage, Thai costume, Thai cooking, to name but a few.
The Ambassador, in her opening remarks, commended the TAASA as well as the Thai volunteers for their efforts and spirits in bringing the vibrancy and richness of the Thai culture to Australia, which constructively contributed to enriching multiculturalism in Australia as well as strengthening the people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Distinguished representatives from the Australian side included The Honourable Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism and Multicultural Affairs, as a representative of the Premier of South Australia, The Honourable Jing Lee MLC, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Shadow Minister for Multicultural South Australia, and Shadow Minister for Tourism and Hospitality, and Mr. Michael Coxon, Mayor of West Torrens. Mrs. Amanda-Jane Gianopoulos, Honorary Consul-General of Thailand in Adelaide, also attended. Around 9,000 – 10,000 Thais and non-Thais took part in the festival.
