The Presentation Ceremony of Prince Mahidol Award 2009
On 27 January 2010 at 17.30 hrs., Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn, as the Representative of His Majesty the King, conferred the Prince Mahidol Award 2009 to the Awardees at the Chakri Throne Hall. Later, on behalf of His Majesty the King, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn hosted the banquet in honour of the Prince Mahidol Awardees 2009 at Boromrajasathitmaholarn Throne Hall.

First shipment of Thai Rice departs Bangkok for Haiti
On 1 February 2010 at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva presided over the “Thai Rice for Haiti” ceremony and witnessed the loading of the first shipment of 100 tons of Thai rice to Haiti.

The Thai Advance Team travels to Haiti
On 29 January 2010, Mr. Theerakun Niyom, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, held a press conference before the advance team of Thailand departs Bangkok to Haiti. The trip is a follow-up to the Thai Cabinet’s decision to provide humanitarian assistance to Haiti, which was hit by a massive earthquake on 12 January 2010.
