The Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra organised activities to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thai National Day and Father’s Day, 5 December 2023

On 4 December 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Commonwealth of Australiaม presided over activities to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thai National Day and Father’s Day at Dhammadharo Temple, Canberra. In the morning, the Ambassador presided over a flower offering ceremony to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great followed by a religious ceremony of merit making and alms offering to monks. Heads of Team Thailand Agencies represented in Canberra, officials and their spouses together with President and members of the Australia-Thailand Association, Canberra (ATA) as well as the Thai community in Canberra attended the said ceremony.

 

Later in the day, the Ambassador led the Heads of Team Thailand agencies represented in Canberra, officials and their spouses, together with President and members of the Australia-Thailand Association Canberra (ATA), as well as the Thai community in Canberra in a volunteer community service activity inspired by the Royal Initiative Volunteer Project. The activity was held at Dhammadharo Temple in Lyneham, Canberra. The volunteers did gardening work including weeding, and cleaning up the garden around Dhammadharo Temple. The activity aimed to improve the overall environment of the temple for Thai and foreign Buddhists to enjoy during their visits.
