The Royal Thai Embassy and Heads of Team Thailand offices based in Canberra welcomed a delegation of participants in the Civil Service Executive Development Programme

On 28 June 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy and Heads of Team Thailand offices based in Canberra welcomed a delegation of participants in the Civil Service Executive Development Programme, Ministry of Public Health, led by Dr. Opart Karnkawinpong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, and Dr. Sukhum Kanjanapimai, former Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, at the Royal Thai Embassy, during the latter’s study visit to Australia.
During the visit in Canberra, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand also met with Professor Brendan Murphy, Secretary of the Department of Health and Aged Care of Australia, to discuss ways to further enhance cooperation on public health focusing on human resource development, exchanges of knowledge as well as sharing of medical and health related research. As strategic partners, Thailand and Australia agreed that cooperation on public health is one of the areas to be enhanced and that there are opportunities for both sides to work together as agreed and included in the plan of action.
