Thai Ambassador attends “Friends of Thailand – Australia Partnership” networking reception at the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Melbourne

 

On 1 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, attended the “Friends of Thailand – Australia Partnership” networking reception, organized by the Royal Thai Honorary Consulate in Melbourne and the Thailand Australia Chamber in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra. The reception was held in conjunction with her official visit to Victoria.

On this occasion, Ambassador Arjaree noted in her welcoming remarks the longstanding relationship between Thailand and Australia, which marks its 72nd year in 2024. She also underscored the important connection, particularly trade, investment and people-to-people ties, between Thailand and Victoria, which hosts the 2nd largest Thai community in Australia. The Ambassador also highlighted opportunities for further strengthening partnership and expanding economic engagement and exchanges in various areas. These include, among others, green transition, sustainable development, digital economy, creative economy, and education and human resource development.
