On 29 January 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, welcomed Committee members and parents of Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School Inc as well as volunteer teachers from Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, during their visit to Canberra. The visit was organized to provide an opportunity for the Committee members of the school and volunteer teachers to call upon the Thai Ambassador after the five-week long Summer School Teaching Project was successfully completed. The project has run for almost 30 years offering a variety of courses of Thai language, Thai classical music and Thai traditional dances for Thai youth growing up in Australia during the summer school holidays. Main objectives of the teaching are to encourage students to learn Thai language and Thai culture as well as to promote the sense of love and pride of Thai identity among the Thai youth.

On this occasion, the Ambassador was briefed about the history of the school, its courses, sources of financial support as well as the school syllabus which has been recongnised by the Department of Education of New South Wales. The Ambassador also expressed her appreciation to the Committee members and the Faculty of Education of Chulalongkorn University for their determination and continued efforts to run this project.
