Meeting with Chief Minister, Australian Capital Territory

On 20 June 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand met with Mr. Andrew Barr, Chief Minister of Australian Capital Territory, at ACT Legislative Assembly. Mr. Brendan Smth, Commissioner for International Engagement, ACT, also attended the meeting. Both sides discussed the existing cooperation between Thailand and ACT, particularly on the promotion of cultural and tourism-related activities and the support for the Thai community residing in ACT. In this regard, they exchanged views on how to further enhance existing collaboration with a view to making it more concrete. The two sides also expressed their willingness to support further collaboration including in potential areas such as trade and investment, innovation and education, as well as exchanges of knowledge, expertise and best practices in areas of interest.

Ambassador Arjaree also expressed appreciation to the Chief Minister and ACT Government for their strong support to the Thai community in Canberra and the Embassy’s cultural activities held in the past years.
