On 22 June 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, joined a panel on “Women in Diplomacy” at the Australian National University (ANU), which was part of the activities organised under the annual ANU student conference Asia Pacific Week 2023. Also on the panel were Ms. Melissa Conley Tyler, Executive Director, Asia Pacific Development, Diplomacy & Defence Dialogue, and Ms. Solstice Middleby, Doctoral candidate, Adelaide and Massey Universities, with Ms. Melissa Hitchman, former Australian Ambassador to the Holy See, as moderator. The panellists shared and exchanged views on their experiences in the area of diplomacy and international affairs with students in the audience whose interest for future careers could be in diplomacy. They also reflected on the progress that has been made on issues of gender equality and women empowerment.
