ASEAN Committee in Canberra met with Shadow Minister for Trade and for Resources

On 27 May 2021, HE Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Canberra, led the ASEAN Committee in Canberra in meeting with The Honourable Ms Madeleine King, Shadow Minister for Trade and for Resources.  Both sides exchanged views on the longstanding ASEAN-Australia ties across all dimensions particularly on ways to strengthen trade and economic relations in the post-COVID-19 recovery process.  They also discussed the importance of ASEAN-Australia people-to-people ties especially the role of international students and ways to support the returning of ASEAN students to Australia to continue their studies.
