Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand met virtually with Senator David Van as Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand

On 30 September 2021, HE Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand held a virtual meeting with Senator David Van (Victoria) as Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand on the occasion of the latter’s assumption of the said position.  Both sides reaffirmed the deep and longstanding bilateral relations and are committed to further advance bilateral cooperation through the Parliamentary networks of Thailand and Australia.  Furthermore, both sides stressed the importance of education and the return of ASEAN, including Thai, students to Australia as soon as possible which would contribute to the foundation of future people-to-people ties, taking into account the international travel restrictions and health advice.
