Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and Team Thailand Agencies met with Senator David Van as Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand

On 9 November 2021, HE Ms Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, together with Heads of Team Thailand Agencies, met in hybrid format with Senator David Van (Victoria), recently appointed as Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand.  Both sides reaffirmed the deep and longstanding Thailand-Australia relations.  Ambassador Busadee congratulated Senator Van as Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand and looked forward to strengthening the people-to-people ties, and supported the role of Parliamentarians.  Senator Van reaffirmed his readiness to work on areas of mutual interest particularly trade, investment, tourism, research and development on health and return of international students.

Team Thailand agencies comprise the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Sydney, offices of Defense and Air Attache, Army Attache, Naval Attache, Thai Trade Centre, Board of Investment, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Office of Agricultural Affairs, and Office of Educational Affairs.
