Ambassador of Thailand visited Adelaide

On 19 -21 March 2021, H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Australia visited Adelaide to attend Thai Festival and meet the local Thai community.
On 20 March 2021, Ambassador Busadee attended the opening ceremony of “Thai Festival Esan 2021” at Kings Reserve, Torrenville, together with H.E. The Hon. Hieu Van Le AC, Governor of South Australia, Hon. Jing Lee MLC, Assistant Minister to the Premier of South Australia, and Mr. Michael Coxon, Mayor City of West Torrens
Thai Festival Isan 2021 was organized by Thai-Australian Association of South Australia (TAASA) to promote Thai food and culture to the local people in Adelaide and in the nearby area.
Inspired by the Northeast of Thailand, this one-day event consisted of Thai food and goods stalls, fruit carving demonstration, traditional dances, Thai music, Thai arts and crafts, family games and Miss Thai Festival contest. About 5,000 people participated in the festival.
On the following day, Ambassador Busadee paid respect to Thai monks at Sri Ratana Wanaram Temple and Rattanaprateep Vihara Temple in Adelaide. At the temples, she also met with representatives of the Thai communities and informed of the Embassy’s duties and efforts in taking care of Thai citizens in Australia during COVID-19 pandemic.
