Thai Ambassador paid an official visit to Victoria

On 1-2 February 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, paid an official visit to the State of Victoria to strengthen relations and expand cooperation between Thailand and Victoria.

 

On 1 February, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria.
Both sides exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest, including opportunities for deeper cooperation between Thailand and Victoria. These included enhancing trade and investment engagement and cooperation in potential sectors, such as green energy transition, food and agriculture, and tourism.

 

Both sides also discussed cooperation on education, especially promoting collaboration between Thai and Australian universities, research collaboration, as well as student exchanges program.

 

Ambassador Arjaree also expressed her appreciation to the State of Victoria for their continued support for the Thai community, particularly the Thai students in Victoria.
