Charge d’Affaires attended the 2023 New Colombo Plan Scholarship Awards Ceremony

On 6 December 2022, Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Charge d’Affaires, attended the New Colombo Plan Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the Australian National University.  His Excellency the Honourable General David Hurley AC DSC (Retd) presided over the ceremony and delievered a keynote speech.  This year 150 Australian undergraduates have been awared the NCP scholarships where 7 will undertaking their study and internships in Thailand for one year.

The NCP is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to promote deeper understanding of the 40 Indo-Pacific countries by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region. These educational exchanges, underpinned by close people-to-people links, will further enhance and support the growing professional and personal networks across the region.
