Visa on Arrival

General Rules

 

– Passport holders from the following countries may apply for visa on arrival at the listed below immigration checkpoints for the purpose of tourism only and will be granted to stay in Thailand for a period not exceeding 15 days.

1. Bhutan
2. Bulgaria
3. China (The People’s Republic of)
4. Cyprus (The Republic of)
5. Ethiopia
6. Fiji (Country in the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra)
7. Georgia
8. India
9. Kazakhstan
10. Malta (The Republic of)
11. Mexico
12. Nauru
13. Papua New Guinea (Country in the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra)
14. Romania
15. Taiwan
16. Uzbekistan
17. Vanuatu (Country in the jurisdiction of the Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra)

 

– The applicant must not be under section 12 Immigration Act B.E.2522 (A.D.1979).

– The visa on arrival must be used only on the date of issue.

– The fee for visa on arrival in Thai currency is 2,000 Baht only (Cash)/ Non-refundable.

– Those who enter the Kingdom with visa on arrival cannot submit an application for extension of stay, except in special cases of illness which prevents them from travelling. In this case, the application can be submitted at the Office of Immigration Bureau. Please visit their website: http://www.immigration.go.th

 

Requirement 

– Passport with at least 6 month validity and at least 2 blank pages

– Application form, fully completed (this form can be obtained at the designated ports of entry into Thailand as listed below)
– One recent photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm)
– Proof of means of living expenses at the amount of 10,000 Baht per person and 20,000 Baht per family accordingly.
– Fully paid onward travel tickets usable within 15 days from the date of entry
– Must notify the address of the place to stay in Thailand during the trip that can be verified.
