Validity of visa and permitted length of stay
**30-day visa exemption scheme is NOT counted as extra days you can stay in Thailand.**
Single Entry Visa :
Single Entry Visa will be valid for 3 months from the date of issue.
You must enter Thailand within the validity of visa.
For Tourist Visa, the permitted length of stay is up to 60 days from the date of arrival in Thailand.
Nationals of countries which are on Thailand’s Tourist Visa Exemption list or have bilateral agreements on visa exemption with Thailand will be permitted to stay for a period of not exceeding 14, 30, or 90 days (please click on the list for more details). Nationals from other countries who hold a tourist visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 60 days.
For Non-Immigrant Visa, the permitted length of stay is up to 90 days from the date of arrival in Thailand.
Travellers should carefully check the immigration stamps in their passports regarding the exact length of stay to ensure that they do not overstay their visa. Penalty for overstay is a fine of 500 baht per day and blacklist for entry ban for at least 5 years.
Multiple Entry Visa :
Multiple Entry Tourist Visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of issue. Travellers must enter Thailand within the validity of visa, and they will be permitted to stay in Thailand not exceeding 60 days for each entry within the period of 6 months from the date of arrival in Thailand.
Multiple Entry Non-Immigrant Visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue. Travellers must enter Thailand within the validity of visa. However, the permitted length of stay is up to 90 days of each arrival (except a Non-immigrant O-A, O-X visa) from the date of arrival in Thailand.
