The Royal Thai Embassy welcomed the participants of the Mekong Australia Masterclass on Building Gender-Inclusive Institutions

On 12 September 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy welcomed the group of 26 Thai participants of the Mekong Australia Masterclass on Building Gender-Inclusive Institutions, organized by the University of Queensland with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) under the Mekong Australia Partnership (MAP), during their visit in Canberra. The participants comprised officials from government agencies as well as representatives from independent agencies and non-governmental organisations.

On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, hosted a dinner for the delegation, which was also joined by Ms. Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary, Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division, officials from DFAT, heads of Team Thailand agencies represented in Canberra, and Embassy officials. The dinner, among others, provided opportunity for networking and exchanging views on efforts being done by different organizations to promote gender equality and social inclusion, as well as for sharing of experiences which the participants have gained from the Masterclass program.
