Thai Ambassador‘s official visit to South Australia

On 25 March 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, paid an official visit to South Australia  to strengthen relations and expand cooperation between Thailand and South Australia.

 

During the visit, the Ambassador together with Mrs. Amanda-Jane Giannopoulos, Thai Honorary Consul General in Adelaide, paid a courtesy call on Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, and prominent persons from various sectors, including (1) The Honourable Zoe Bettison, Minister for Tourism and Minister for Multicultural Affairs, on behalf of the Premier of South Australia; (2) The Honourable Blair Boyer, Minister for Education, Training and Skills; (3) The Honourable John Gardner, Deputy Leader of the Opposition; (4)The Honourable Jing Lee, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council; (5) Mr. David Reynolds PSM, Chief Executive, Department of Trade and Investment; (6) Ms. Jane Johnston, Chief Executive, StudyAdelaide; (7) Ms. Rebecca Knights, Executive Director, Department of Energy and Mining and; Mr. Douglas Gautier, Chief Executive and Artistic Director, Adelaide Festival Center.
Ambassador Arjaree exchanged views on opportunities for deeper cooperation between Thailand and South Australia, including promotion of trade and investment and cooperation in potential sectors, such as green energy transition, hydrogen development, food and agriculture, tourism, education, especially on vocational education and training and cultural exchanges.
