Thai Ambassador presented credentials to the President of Vanuatu

On 15 October 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, presented the Letter of Credence to H.E. Mr. Nikenike Vurobaravu, President of the Republic of Vanuatu, at the State House, Port Vila, accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Vanuatu, with residence in Canberra.

On this occasion, the Ambassador reaffirmed her determination to foster Thai-Vanuatuan relations, especially through development cooperation. The President expressed the wish to promote cooperation with Thailand and highlighted Thailand’s Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP) as a way to enhance the livelihoods of the Thai people and the applicability of SEP to Vanuatu. Both sides also discussed issues of mutual interests and challenges, including climate change and sustainable tourism.
