Thai Ambassador attended investment promotion event in Brisbane
On 13 July 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, and Ms. Sithee Tanboontek, Director for Thailand Board of Investment’s Sydney Office, participated in the “Thailand: New Economy, New Opportunities Business Forum” in Brisbane, Queensland.
The seminar aimed to
increase awareness about the investment potential and market opportunities in Thailand, while also enhancing cooperation between the Thai and Australian business sectors.
In her remarks, Ambassador Arjaree, noting the close strategic partnership between Thailand and Australia, stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral economic engagement. She also highlighted the Thai Government’s policies on Bio-Circular-Green, or BCG, Economy and the ongoing expansion of the Eastern Economic Corridor, which open business opportunities between the two countries. In this regard, Ambassador Arjaree invited Australian businesses to invest more in Thailand, in particular in renewable energy, EV, agrifood and digital sectors.
The Director of the BOI Sydney Office also presented the BOI’s new Five-Year Investment Promotion Strategy (2023-2027) and opportunities for investment in high potential sectors.
