On 29 May 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the ceremony to celebrate the Auspicious Occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary (3rd June 2026) at Wat Dhammadharo. H.E. Ms. Arjaree Srirataban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Australia, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra together with their spouses and family as well as members of the Thai community in Canberra and nearby areas.
The Buddhist rituals were presided over by Phra Rajasilaporn, Abbot of Wat Dhammadharo and President of the Thai Dhammayut Sangha Council of Australia and New Zealand, accompanied by a monastic delegation of five monks.
The ceremony included floral offering to pay homage to Her Majesty the Queen, remarks by the Ambassador expressing loyalty and well wishes, the candle-lighting ceremony, the signing of the book of well-wishes, followed by Buddhist rituals and merit-making.
