On 25 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, led the Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra and their spouses in a volunteer activity to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on 3 June 2025. The volunteers helped the Blue Door Drop-in Centre in Canberra provide and serve free and nutritious lunch to those in need. This included Thai Jasmine rice, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts and five-spice chicken and egg stew.
The Blue Door Drop-in Centre was set up by the St Vincent de Paul Society, a not-for-profit organization, to provide lunches and other life necessities for the homeless and others in need in Ainslie Village and surrounding areas. Each day the Centre prepares 120-150 lunch boxes. It receives funding from the Australian Capital Territory Government and the St Vincent de Paul Society which is used to run these assistance services.

This is the second time that the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand agencies in Canberra organised a volunteer activity at the Blue Door Drop-in Centre. The activity was an opportunity for those in need to enjoy a special meal from what they usually have. It also allowed officials and staff from Team Thailand agencies to interact with the Centre’s personnel and those receiving the food, which helps to promote awareness about Thailand, particularly the constructive role of Team Thailand agencies in contributing to an inclusive society.
