On 17 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, hosted a dinner for participants of the OECD Masterclass on Thailand’s OECD Accession at the Embassy.
The participants included 25 representatives from Thai government agencies and private sector, who play a key role in advancing Thailand’s accession process to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The Masterclass, organised by the University of Queensland with the support of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is taking place from 7 to 22 June 2025. The program aims to enhance participants’ understanding of OECD standards and best practices, while providing an opportunity to gain firsthand experiences and build networks with Australian experts on OECD.
In her welcoming remarks, the Ambassador underscored Thailand’s commitment to becoming a member of the OECD, noting the important role that each organisation plays in supporting structural reforms to enhance competitiveness and prepare Thailand along the process of becoming OECD’s full member. She also encouraged the participants to utilise what they have gained from the Masterclass in their respective work.
