The Royal Thai Embassy hosted reception for Australian Parliamentarians and Thai Business Leaders in Australia

On 30 June 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a Royal Thai Parliamentarian Networking Thai Reception, welcoming members of Australian Parliamentarians as well as Thai business leaders in Australia. Also attended were Mrs. Wimalin Beattie, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Hobart, Mrs. Chearanai Tina Field, Honorary Consul in Brisbane, and Heads of Team Thailand agencies in Australia.

On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, delivered remarks highlighting the important role of parliamentarians in advancing Thailand–Australia relations, as well as the opportunities for the two countries to further strengthen cooperation with a view to deepening and elevating their strategic partnership. These include enhancing collaboration in security and defence, promoting two-way economic ties, trade and investment, and expanding cooperation in science, research, and innovation.

Mr. Luke Gosling, Member for Solomon in the Northern Territory, Special Envoy for Defence, Veterans’, and Northern Australia, and Chair of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand, delivered remarks on behalf of the Australian participants, reaffirming the close and comprehensive partnership between Thailand and Australia across all dimensions including people-to-people ties.
