On 31March 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, met with Mr. Leon Rebello MP, Federal Member for McPherson, Queensland and a member of the Australian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand Group, at the Thai Residence. The meeting was also joined by Mr. Aaron Payne, Chief of Staff to Mr. Rebello, Ms. Jitvipa Benjasil, Minister and Mr. Peerapong Phimonwichayakit, Minister Counsellor.

Both sides discussed opportunities for further strengthening Thailand-Australia relations across various sectors, including trade, investment, education, people-to-people exchange and security. They also exchanged views on the role of parliamentarians in deepening cooperation and ties between the two countries as well as on issues of mutual interest.
