On 25 March 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, met with Ms. Rachel Thompson, Group CEO of Asialink, in Melbourne to discuss ways to enhance partnership and cooperation across various areas in the context of Thailand-Australia relations.

On this occasion, both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration in several areas, including Arts and Culture, where they noted the potential to engage with Thai artists residing in Australia and to collaborate with the ASEAN-Australia Centre; Education, particularly building on the ASEAN BRIDGE Program, which facilitates exchanges between Australian schools and schools in Southeast Asia, including Thailand; and Business, especially through activities to promote trade and investment. They also exchanged views on recent trends in renewable energy and critical minerals as well as the situation in the Middle East, which has impacts on various sectors of the global economy.
