On 25 March 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, met with a group of Thai artists at SOL Gallery in Melbourne. On this occasion, the Ambassador heard from the Thai artists about their experiences and perspectives of working in Australia, developments in the contemporary art scene as well as the international role of Thai artists. Both sides also exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation in arts and culture and ways to strengthen networks among Thai artists in Australia to support future collaboration and promote Thailand-Australia relations.

There are currently a number of Thai artists who have established themselves in Australia. These include Bundit Puangthong, painter; Pimpisa Tinpalit, artist and owner of SOL Gallery; Thitibodee Rungteerawatananon, conceptual artist; May Sornkam, ceramic artist; and Nakarin Jaikla, performance artist.
