On 1 July 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, welcomed a delegation from the Thai Senate Standing Committee on Monitoring Budget Administration during their official visit to Australia to engage with relevant Australian agencies. The delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Alongkot Vorakee, Senator and Chairman of the Committee and comprised 19 members.
 
On this occasion, the Ambassador briefed the delegation on the Embassy’s key missions, which include (1) strengthening and expanding Thailand’s relations and cooperation with Australia and Pacific Island countries under the jurisdiction of the Embassy, (2) protecting and supporting the Thai community through consular services, and (3) internal administration.
 
Both sides also exchanged views on various topics including budget administration, Australia’s current socio-economic landscape, the welfare of Thai nationals and students particularly in Australia, and opportunities to further enhance relations between Thailand and Australia, particularly through the promotion of soft power industries and Thai agricultural products.
