On 30 June 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, met with Distinguished Professor Genevieve Bell, Vice Chancellor of ANU, and Professor Joan Leach, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), at the ANU.

Both sides discussed ways and opportunities for greater education cooperation between ANU and Thai institutions, including student exchanges, building networks of researchers, development of dual degree programmes and partnerships between Australian and Thai universities, promoting collaboration on agritech, foodtech and biosecurity, as well as enhancing research and innovation collaboration and collaboration on AI. The Ambassador also expressed readiness to support and help connect the ANU with Thai institutions in areas of interest.
