On 15 May 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, witnessed the signing of education agreements between

(1) the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology, University of Queensland; and

(2) the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, University of Queensland at University of Queensland, Australia.

 

Professor Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University; Assoc. Prof. Witaya Wannasuphoprasit, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Assoc. Prof. Vorasit Vongsutilers, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, represented the Thai side in signing the agreements.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador congratulated the two universities on the signing, noting that these agreements, while exemplifying progress in the longstanding partnership between two leading universities, would help promote student exchanges and strengthen people‑to‑people ties between the two countries. The Ambassador also underscored the importance of collaboration among academic institutions in exchanges, research and innovation, particularly in emerging technologies, which would contribute to addressing today's regional and global challenges.

 

In addition, the Ambassador joined the Chulalongkorn University executives in meeting and having conversations with students from the Faculty of Political Science and the Faculty of Psychology who are part of the Dual/Joint Degrees Programs between the two universities.
