On 24 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, accompanied by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy, met with Mr. Wiwat Hemmondharop, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), along with FTI representatives including Dr. Wiboon Rugsancharoenphol, Executive Committee Member and Chair of the One Innovation Council, Mr. Vikrom Watcharakhup, Executive Committee / Member of Smart Agriculture Working Group, and Dr. Savanit Boonyasuwat, Member of BCG Working Group and Climate Change Institute.


On this occasion, both sides discussed opportunities to further promote trade and investment between Thailand and Australia, as well as the FTI’s approaches to elevating competitiveness of Thailand’s private sector, strengthening the innovation ecosystem in Thailand through the establishment of the One Innovation Council (OIC) and the Innovation ONE Fund, advancing the green economy, and preparing Thai private sector readiness for green and digital transitions. They also exchanged views on how the Embassy would be able to support these efforts.
FTI established the Innovation ONE Fund as a key mechanism to support research, development, and investment in innovation, aimed at enhancing the competitive capacity of Thai private enterprises and driving sustainable development in strategic sectors including food and agriculture, green and biotechnology industries as well as startups and SMEs.
