Certified Translation
The Royal Thai Embassy provides Certified Translation service on Monday to Friday 9:30 – 12:00 hrs. (Except Embassy’s Public Holidays). The applicants are advised to book the service in advance here choosing the menu “นิติกรณ์และรับรองเอกสาร/Legalisation”.
General information:
- The Royal Thai Embassy is generally authorised to certify only documents issued by Thai government agencies or Australian government agencies.
- Original English documents issued by Australian government agencies must firstly be authenticated by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in the state/ territory where the applicants reside. Please note that the Embassy does not accept apostille.
- The translation must be translated by professional translators. Further information about the translation can be found at https://www.naati.com.au/
- The translation must be complete as the original and cannot be concluded or shortened.
- Applying for Certified Translation can be made in person or by post.
- Fee:
- $25.00 AUD per 1 certified translation by the Embassy.
- If appying by post, the payment has to be paid b money order made payable to “Royal Thai Embassy, Canberra”
- Documents Required:
- A completed Application for Legalisation which can be downloaded from the Embassy’s website.
- Original English documents bearing the Seal of DFAT.
- Translated documents by professional translators and a copy of each document
- A copy of ID such as passport, driving license, Thai House Registration, etc.
- If appying by post, a prepaid return envelope (Registered Post Envelope – B4 size) with self-address
