Ambassador of Thailand to Australia attended the Loy Krathong Dinner hosted by Australia-Thailand Association (ATA) at Pad Thai Restaurant in Chisholm.

On 10 November 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, together with Mr. Rutchabhoom Boonrawd, Minister, Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra, attended the Loy Krathong Dinner hosted by Australia-Thailand Association (ATA) at Pad Thai Restaurant in Chisholm. Both Thai and Australian participants were presented with classical Thai dance performances during the dinner, before joining the traditional Loy Krathong floating, followed by ‘Rumwong’ dancing.
In her remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of the Loy Krathong festival, which has been inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List in domain of social practices, rituals and festive events since 2011. She also expressed her appreciation to the ATA President and the Committee members for their active role in organising various activities of the Association, as well as supporting those organised by the Royal Thai Embassy, and reassured the Association of the continued support of the Embassy for ATA’s future activities.
