เอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าร่วมงาน Brisbane Thai Festival 2024 ของสมาคมไทย-ออสเตรเลี่ยนแห่งรัฐควีนส์แลนด์

On 15 June 2024, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, attended Sawasdee Thailand: Brisbane Thai Festival 2024, organised by Thai-Australian Association of Queensland, with support from Thai volunteers. The Festival showcased the uniqueness of Thai culture, including Thai traditional dances, Muay Thai (Thai boxing), and Thai cooking. The highlight of this year was the Thai-Aus Got Talent Competition, in which young people had the opportunity to show their honed talents to the public.

The Ambassador presided over the Buddhist ceremony and took part in the opening ceremony. In her remarks, she commended the Thai-Australian Association of Queensland, Thai community members as well as Thai volunteers from Brisbane and nearby areas for their efforts and spirits in bringing the vibrancy and richness of Thai culture to Brisbane, which would constructively contribute to enriching multiculturalism in the city as well as strengthening the people-to-people ties between Thailand Australia. The Ambassador also expressed appreciation to the City of Brisbane City for the support extended to the Thai community.

Distinguished representatives from the Australian side present in the Festival’s opening included The Right Honourable Councillor Adrian Schrinner, Lord Mayor of Brisbane, and Councillor Vicki Howard for Central Ward. Ms. Chearanai Tina Field, Honorary Consul of Thailand to Queensland, also attended.
