On 17 June 2026 at 16.30 hrs., H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, presided over the Signing of Book of Condolence Ceremony in remembrance of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendiradebyavati Kromluangrajasarinisiribajra Mahavajrarajadhita at Sala Thai Function Hall, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra. The Ceremony was attended by Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra and their spouse.

On this occasion, the Ambassador led the participants in paying their respect before the portrait of Her Royal Highness. She then lit incense and candle and delivered remarks expressing deep sorrow and gratitude for Her Royal Highness’s benevolence. The Ambassador also paid tribute to Her Royal Highness’s dedication to the nation and the Thai people, as well as Her distinguished roles and contributions as a diplomat, lawyer and advocate for human rights. Her Royal Highness’ work and achievements on the international stage led to Her recognition and appointments as Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Development Fund for Women, promoting efforts to end violence against women, and Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for the rule of law and criminal justice in Southeast Asia.

The participants then observed 47 seconds of silence in remembrance of Her Royal Highness and signed the Book of Condolences in honour of the legacy, distinguished achievements and benevolence of Her Royal Highness.
