On 11 October 2025 at 10.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy organised a ceremony on Nawamindra Maharaj Day to commemorate the passing of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great at Dhammadharo Temple, Canberra.

H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra together with their spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Canberra and nearby areas. Venerable Phra Rajasilaporn, Abbot of Wat Dhammadaro, the presiding Sangha, was accompanied by a monastic delegation, totalling 8 monks residing at Wat Dhammadharo.

The commemorative activities included wreath laying and merit making. On this occasion, Phra Ratchasilaporn paid tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, recalling 13 October 2016, the day of His Majesty’s passing, and invited the attendees to honour His Majesty’s legacy. This year marks the ninth anniversary of His Majesty’s passing.
