On 25 March 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, met with
Mr. David Halliwell, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Partnerships, and senior executives of Deakin University at Deakin University, Geelong Warun Ponds Campus. Both sides discussed ways and opportunities for greater education cooperation between Deakin University and Thai institutions, including student exchanges, building researchers networks, matching researchers as well as enhancing research and innovation collaboration and partnerships.

On this occasion, Ambassador Arjaree also toured ManiFutures, an advanced manufacturing research and innovation centre, and Carbon Nexus, a world-class carbon fibre composite research facility at Deakin University’s Institute for Frontier Materials (IFM).
