On 26 March 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia and Ms. Tessa Sullivan, Honorary Consul of Thailand in Melbourne, met with the Honourable Vicki Ward MP and the Honourable David Hodgett MP, Co-Chairs of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Thailand Group, as well as Mrs. Rachael Westaway MP, the first elected Victorian MP with a Thai background.

On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to further deepen cooperation between Thailand and Victoria in various areas, including promoting education, research and innovation collaborations, investment and people-to-people relations. They also exchanged views on the roles and well-being of Thai community, including how to address challenges they face, including problems associated with domestic violence.
