The concert was attended by over 100 guests, including ambassadors, high commissioners and members of the diplomatic corps, as well as senior representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Heads of the Team Thailand agencies in Canberra were also in attendance.

The ASEAN Anthem and 11 songs representing each of the ASEAN Member States were played by Dr. Thomas Peter Laue, Senior Carillonist at Canberra’s National Carillon and Lecturer at the ANU School of Music, with the aim of showcasing ASEAN’s cultural diversity and heritage that can be connected through the arts of music. For Thailand, “Sabai Sabai” by Thongchai McIntyre, a song widely known across ASEAN, was selected to be performed at the event.
