Thai Ambassador joined Ambassadors of ASEAN member states in a courtesy call on the Australian Minister for Home Affairs

On 29 June 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, joined Ambassadors, High Commissioners and Embassy representatives of ASEAN member states in paying a courtesy call on the Honourable Tony Burke, Minister for Home Affairs, Minister for Cyber Security, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, and Minister for the Arts of Australia, at the Australian Parliament.
Minister Burke emphasized the importance of ASEAN to Australia and expressed his readiness to work closely with ASEAN to strengthen collaboration including in addressing transnational security issues, transnational crime, as well as cyber security.
On this occasion, Ambassador Arjaree highlighted the close partnership between ASEAN and Australia and Thailand and Australia including in combatting transnational crimes. She emphasized the importance of people-to-people links, including through education and tourism, and immigration policy. She also sought support from the Minister for collaboration on arts and between creative sectors of both countries.
