On 27 November 2025, at 10.00 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra organised a volunteer community service to commemorate the Auspicious Occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Passing of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) on 25 November 2025 and the 100th Birthday Anniversary of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana on 24 November 2025.
On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Srirataban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, presided over the donation ceremony for The St Vincent de Paul Society (Vinnies), a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals across Australia. Mr. Keith Cantlie, Senior Advisor for Industry & Community Participation, received the donation on behalf of Vinnies, accompanied by Ms. Rebekah Silberman, Fundraising and Donor Care Officer.
This donation was realized through the collective efforts of Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand agencies in Canberra, as well as the Thai community and Wat Dhammadharo, following the Royal Initiative of “We Do Good Deeds with Our Hearts” under the Royal Volunteer Programme established by His Majesty the King of Thailand, which encourages Thais to contribute to the community. The donated items included both new and pre-loved goods to support Vinnies’ mission.
In addition, goods and gifts were also donated to support Vinnies’ Christmas Giving Tree Campaign to provide essential items and gifts for those in need to celebrate Christmas.
