On 2 May 2026, Ms. Jitvipa Benjasil, Minister, together with Ms. Pottanee Homjitt Chandrtri, Counsellor, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra, attended the Multicultural Festival 2026 hosted by Toad Hall at the Australian National University (ANU).

On this occasion, Ms Benjasil met with Thai postgraduate students of ANU who are recipients of the Thai Government Scholarship and the Australia Awards Scholarship. Discussions focused on the Thai Students’ Association, as well as the opportunities for future collaboration with the Embassy.

Ms Benjasil also met with the management team of Toad Hall and Mr Dennis Martin, Chaplain of Toad Hall, who previously lived and worked in Thailand and has continued to maintain a close connection with the Thai students at ANU. The discussion included possible initiatives by the Embassy and ways to cooperate with the University and support Thai students in organizing arts and cultural events the future.
