On 26 September 2023, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Fiji, with residence in Canberra, after presenting the Letter of Credence to the President of the Republic of Fiji, paid courtesy calls on high-level officials of Fiji, namely (1) The Honourable Viliame Gavoka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism and Aviation, (2) The Honourable Charan Jeath Singh, Minister of Sugar Industry, and (3) The Honourable Lenora Qereqeretabua, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs. Both sides discussed several issues, including trade, investment, tourism, people-to-people connectivity and sustainable development cooperation between Thailand and Fiji, as well as the enhancement of cooperation between Thailand and Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) and between ASEAN and PIF.

 

The Ambassador also met and exchange views with Mr. Kamal Chetty, Chief Executive Officer of Investment Fiji, about trade and investment opportunities.
