On 27 September 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy welcomed Professor Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the Senate of Thailand, and General Lertrat Ratanavanich and Air Chief Marshal Prajin Juntong, Members of the Senate of Thailand, during their visit to Australia. On this occasion, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, hosted a dinner in honour of the delegation. The Ambassador and Heads of Team Thailand agencies represented in Canberra also briefed the senators on bilateral relations between Thailand and Australia, as well as exchanged views on cooperation in key areas under the Strategic Partnership framework of the two countries.

On the same day, the delegation had paid a visit to the Parliament of Australia and had been briefed on the role and functions of the Australian Parliament.
On 28 September, the delegation, accompanied by the Ambassador, also attended a luncheon hosted by Ms. Michelle Chan, Deputy Secretary of the South and Southeast Asia Group, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, during which both sides discussed and exchanged views on potential areas for enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly increasing two-way trade and investment, as well as on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
