On 14 April 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand, together with the heads of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra, officials, staff, and their family members joined together in a ceremony of traditional Songkran at the Royal Thai Embassy by pouring fragrance water over the Buddha image as a way of paying respect or "Srong Nam Phra". On this occasion, Team Thailand officials and staff also held a "Rod Nam Dam Hua" ceremony by pouring fragrance water on the Ambassador's hands and received her well-wishes for the Thai New Year.
