On 22 September 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, together with representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visited Saraburi Province to learn more about the Saraburi Sandbox project.
On this occasion, the Ambassador met with Mr. Buncha Chaovarin, Governor of Saraburi, received a briefing on the project’s progress, and met with the heads/representatives of the six working groups (pillars) of the Saraburi Sandbox, namely energy transition, low-carbon transport, green industry and products (IPPU), low-carbon agriculture, expansion of green space and waste management. Both sides discussed opportunities to strengthen collaboration between the Saraburi Sandbox and Australia, particularly in technology, project management experience, and green financing.
The Ambassador also visited Siam Research and Innovation Company to learn more about approaches toward achieving the Thai cement industry’s net-zero goal and the company’s low-carbon cement technologies. The Ambassador later visited the Ban Tham Nam Phu Community Forest to learn about community-based green area expansion.
