On 27 March 2025, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, together with Mr. Wirat Tatsaringkansakul, Deputy Secretary-General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), and Ms. Usanee Thinkohkaew, Director of the Thailand Board of Investment, Sydney Office, visited Curtin University in Perth.

During the visit, the Ambassador and the delegation had discussion with Curtin University executives, led by Professor Dr. Xiaotian Zhang, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Global, on Curtin’s plan to promote partnerships with their Thai counterparts, particularly on the possibility of establishing its presence in Thailand, ways that Curtin fosters entrepreneurship among students, as well as opportunities for collaboration in promoting cooperation between startup companies and participation in the West Tech Fest, which Curtin University initiated.

Additionally, the Ambassador met with Thai students currently studying at Curtin University to learn about their living and studies, as well as to offer encouragement and best wishes for their academic success.
