On 28 January 2026, H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, welcomed the Committee members of Buddharangsee Thai Community Language School Inc, and volunteer teachers from the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, at the Royal Thai Embassy during their visit to Canberra after the five-week Summer School Project had been successfully completed.
On this occasion, the Ambassador was briefed by the School’s Committee members and the volunteer teachers about the courses, its challenges as well as the outcome of the Summer School Project. The Project, carried out with the cooperation of the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University, has run for 31 years offering a variety of courses on Thai language, Thai classical music and Thai traditional dances for Thai youth growing up in Australia to encourage them to learn Thai language and Thai culture as well as to instill the sense of love and pride of Thai identity. The classes are conducted full-time from Monday to Saturday between 22 December 2025 and 24 January 2026.
The Ambassador also expressed her appreciation to the Committee members for their determination and continued efforts to run this project, which has helped to promote strong-knitted Thai community.
